Leaders of the Southern African Development Community (SAD C) are agreed that dialogue on the question of land redistribution in the region is urgent and necessary between all stakeholders. Community chiefs met for two days in Harare last month primarily to take the lead in ending Zimbabwe's land crisis and used the opportunity to address the issue as it affects the region as a whole. The explosive land issue in Zimbabwe sent ripples through most SADC countries, causing governments to examine new ways for land to be distributed faster and more efficiently to the millions of landless in the region.
