UK firms wary of recruiting from the public sector.

A new CIMA survey has found that only 11 per cent of UK mid-sized companies plan to employ more former public-sector employees during the next 12 months. The findings are likely to cause concern among public-sector employees facing redundancy. CIMA's December 2010 survey, the "Mid-size business confidence monitor", also found that 59 per cent of medium-sized UK firms anticipate no rise in recruitment levels during the first quarter.
