Tanzania's bankers have called for an urgent computerisation of Tanzanian courts to speed up the resolution of commercial disputes. They say the country's court systems have tied up some Tsh100bn ($86.75m).

Speaking at an international judicial forum, Tanzanian lawyer Felix Kibodya said the digital divide between the highly computerised banking system and Tanzania's poorly computerised court system was frustrating for bankers.
