Ethiopia's Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed rebuffed Donald Trump after the President of the US claimed he should have won the Nobel Peace Prize at a rally in Ohio.
Trump told a crowd of cheering supporters: "I'm going to tell you about the Nobel Peace Prize. I made a deal, I saved a country. And I just heard that the head of that country is now getting the Nobel Peace Prize for saving the country. I said ... what the ... did I have something to do with it? Yeah. But you know that's the way it is. As long as we know, that's all that matters. I saved a big war, I saved a couple of them."
Despite the bravado, most remain confused over which exact deal Trump is referring to. One senior Ethiopian official told the Associated Press that the remarks may have referred to preventing further tensions between Ethiopia and Egypt over a massive dam that Ethiopia is completing on the River Nile.
