The SoBig family of worms has been named 'epidemic of the year' for contaminating the greatest number of networks and PCs. Other familiar names that have made the top ten include the Blaster and Bugbear viruses. The continued growth and impact of malicious content has made today's organisations more aware of the hostility towards big business and heightened the pressure to reassess security policies.


Many large IT departments have adopted a laissez-faire approach to virus attacks, it is this very approach that makes these organisations more vulnerable.
