Morocco and Cote d'Ivoire have agreed a project piloting a South-South co-development model with a total of $166m committed by Morocco to Cote d'Ivoire.

Morocco's Attijariwafa Bank has released $16.6m, which will launch the first phase of the redevelopment of Cocody Bay (above) in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire. This finance will be used to finalise technical studies and launch the priority work for bay depollution and flooding protection.

The primary aim of the project is to provide a sustainable solution to environmental degradation. The site will be depolluted, reforested and redeveloped into a green corridor of more than 3,000 hectares...
