Many wildlife conservancy owners in Matabeleland, Zimbabwe say they have lost up to 70%t of their animals to poaching. Game ranchers said the loss of revenue to poaching and farm invasions were estimated to be more than Z$40bn. Bubiyana Conservancy in Matabeleland South lost close to 30 black rhinos, some killed for meat and others for their precious horn.
