The Mozambican capital, Maputo, will host the 2011 edition of the All-Africa Games, after Zambia pulled out saying it could not afford to stage the event. The decision was made by the general assembly of the Supreme Council of Sports for Africa. Football is one of as many as 24 sporting disciplines played at the Games.
