CIMA has changed its assessment processes so that all students sitting exams from January will take them on computer.

The institute is the first global accountancy body to pioneer a combination of computerised assessment methods. It has introduced the change "in line with how technology is used in education and industry, and to reflect the new skills that employers require".

The move to a fully computerised format means that the total assessment time is reduced.
