Your report on migration (World on the Move, African Business May 2006 issue) was highly revealing but also illuminated a great truth that is like the proverbial 'elephant in the room' that nobody sees. It is that the theory of globalisation so keenly advocated by leading economists is a good thing when applied to world trade, but a very bad thing when applied to the movement of labour.
