The UK Bribery Act 2010 entered the statute book in April and will come into force in April 2011. The legislation has far-reaching implications for every firm doing business in the UK--merely having a presence in the UK creates jurisdiction and the act can apply even to offences committed in another nation, unrelated to UK operations.
