A feasibility study for a billion dollar power station in Zambia will be funded by the World Bank, officials have confirmed. The $6m study should be complete by end-2008. "In the next three years, we expect the physical construction of the power station to start," says Javier Calvio, a spokesman for the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the World Bank's funding division.
